What’s the Problem?

“What is the problem that you’re going to solve” and who are the people that you plan to focus on? My dad always asked me that question. I was 12 when he started.

He wanted me to understand exactly what businesses do. They solve problems for people.

To this day I still ask this same question of every business or project that I work on. And I ask it of everything that I write. “What is the problem that you’re going to solve? And who is going to read it?”

Problem solving is BUSINESS. Efficient and effective problem solving is STRATEGIC Business.
