WHAT IS SIMPLICITY STRATEGY?

It was a looonng day and all I could think of was black and white classics and how I wanted to create a classic of my own.

Who would be my leading man?

Some one tall and handsome whose smile made me blush and bristle at the same time. I know, I needed a male character whose eyes were hard to read but even harder to look away from, yes some new, dreamy leading man that my leading lady could ignore and love and fight with all while wearing the latest fashions

and flying all over the world and eventually finding her way back to him . . .

. . . or maybe not. It’s only a movie:-D! Besides conflict and a little confusion are necessary for the big screen, but does my business life have to be the same way? Long days, chaos, crisis and eventually finding my way back to the love of the work only for that good feeling to last for a fleeting moment. Or maybe I don’t even find the love again, after all, some of us have drowned in the “mess” that has become our business life).

Help.

Drowning in our “work” lives is a suffocation by something that could be so beautiful to us. If we could only remember how to swim like dolphins, walk on water or sail above the sharks . . . things could be sweet.

Help.

Simplicity Strategy is simply our journey back into the beauty of business at it’s best. I’m talking about the smart, savvy and fun parts of it all. Recapturing that feeling we have when some idea we hatched becomes real, and when some solution we dreamed up actually works (the way it’s supposed to). I’m thinking of the times when we gladly gave our all, our extra and we were excited about creating whatever it was and giving whatever we gave. Yes, back when we were passionate and on fire every day.

“What is the problem that you’re going to solve” and who are the people that you plan to focus on? My dad always asks me that question. I was 12 when he started and that question ignited the fire of entrepreneurship inside me. And my mother’s relentless reminders that our words matter, our actions count instilled the knowing that the “me” in and outside of business has to be the same person, because character is the lifestyle of the Believer in Business. Dad wanted me to understand exactly what businesses do. They solve problems for people.

Problem solving is Simply BUSINESS. Efficient and effective problem solving is STRATEGIC Business. Simple solutions to problem solving is SIMPLICITY STRATEGY at it’s best.
